Diesel Oil Change
Heavy-duty oil change for diesel trucks, vans and fleet vehicles, sized for the much larger oil capacity a diesel engine carries.
Diesel engines are harder on oil than petrol engines. They run at higher compression, produce far more soot as a by-product of combustion, and carry two to three times the oil volume. Diesel-rated oil is formulated with a much larger additive package to hold that soot in suspension so it cannot form abrasive sludge.
That is why a diesel oil change is not simply a bigger version of the standard one. We use oil meeting the correct heavy-duty specification for your engine, fit a heavy-duty filter, and check the fuel-water separator while the vehicle is on the hoist — water in diesel fuel is a common and expensive problem in Canadian winters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does a diesel oil change cost more?
Mostly volume. A diesel engine can hold 10 to 13 litres where a car holds four or five, and heavy-duty diesel oil and filters cost more per litre. The price reflects materials rather than labour.
Do you service fleet vehicles?
Yes. We service diesel vans, pickups and light commercial vehicles, and can invoice fleet work. Call ahead so we can confirm we have the right oil capacity and filter in stock for your engine.
Can I use regular oil in a diesel engine?
No. Petrol-engine oil lacks the detergent and dispersant package a diesel needs to carry soot, and using it will lead to sludge and accelerated wear. Diesel oil carries its own specifications, and we match the one your engine requires.
